There was not a noteworthy variance between adults aged 60 and above (41 percent) and younger groups.
Obesity was more prevalent among youth aged 6 to 11 years old (18.4 percent) and adolescents aged 12 to 19 years old (20.6 percent) compared to children aged 2 to 5 years old. The data also notes that obesity is common among Hispanic and black adults (47 and 46.8 percent), followed by whites (37.9 percent) and then Asians (12.7 percent), and the same pattern was recorded among youth.
